Eyecatcher For adolescents

How many adolescents suffer from headaches?

Children and adolescents in the German Paediatric Pain Centre

Approximately 44% of children and adolescents from 3 to 17 years of age report having had a headache within the last three months (Du et al. 2010). The frequency of headaches increases with age. Looking at the various types of headache, 7.5% of 7 to 14-year-olds suffer from migraines, 18.5% have tension-type headaches and in 27% of cases the type of headache can’t be precisely determined (Krӧner-Herweg 2007).
