“Professional and needs-based care of young pain patients is a big concern of the Medical Association of Westphalia-Lippe. The German Paediatric Pain Centre will be a decisive partner in this endeavour as it supports close cooperation between general practitioners and specialists, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This integration will lead to a reduction in unnecessary hospital stays in the future. At the same time necessary inpatient treatment will be arranged without delay. In this way, the German Paediatric Pain Centre will provide a significant contribution to the outpatient care of children and adolescents with chronic pain, and we therefore give our full support to this innovative project.”
