“Chronic pain is a big problem for those affected by it – all the more if it concerns children or adolescents. Their constant pain-related stress not only affects their quality of life, but also causes severe impairment to their development, in education and in daily life. I’m glad that the German Paediatric Pain Centre in Datteln is providing a worthwhile contribution to overcoming the effects of chronic pain. Together with the multiprofessional team at the clinic, children and their parents work out ways to reach the goal: “You’ve got your pain under control!” As a member of the advisory panel of the German Paediatric Pain Centre, I’m happy to support this work.”
