Daily therapy takes place over an average of 5 to 8 hours. Components  of the therapy are 3 to 4 weekly one-on-one psychological consultations with the assigned child and adolescent psychotherapist, two group psychotherapy appointments and one family discussion (with doctor and psychologist). Above all, various behavioral therapy interventions with teaching and care staff are included in the inpatient daily program in order to support patients in coping with pain.

Our patients go to the clinic school during school times; appropriate materials are provided by the home school. Part of inpatient treatment comprises stress tests in the home environment, including a visit to the home school for 1 to 3 days. Parents are invited to observe sessions on dealing with chronic pain effectively in daily life, led and reflected by our care staff.
